Windows 11 doesn't really add any new features the Surface line can actually make use of. Windows 10 will still be supported until 2025 though. But it can be installed from a bootable USB. Windows 11 isn't officially supported on the SP5, as the CPU needs to be 8th gen (Coffee Lake) or higher. Just check if you plan on using it away from the wall. If it's a refurb, they might have already done that. While it can be replaced, getting inside a Surface is not for the feint of heart. The battery might be a different story though. My only concerns would be the SSD and battery, since it's tough to know how many write/power cycles they've had since the original owner bought it. I'm probably going to toss Linux on it at some point, since you can get distros that have a smaller memory footprint and GNOME 44 has better touch gesture support than Windows does.ħ660U with 16GB of RAM is plenty. Mine's the 7300U model with 4GB of RAM though. I have one and still use it mainly just for browsing.
